These two fighters really didnt like each other. Mike and Lennox must have really hated one another and that is the sort
of rivalry that boxing needed. If this fight would have come at an earlier time in both fighters careers it would have been
"The Most Beautiful Fight Ever!"
It is always argued around the world "Who Was The Better Fighter?" and "Who Would Win The Fight If Both Fighters Were
In Their Primes?"
These questions are always raised amongst website forums, newspapers, magazines and almost everything to do
with boxing.
This is my view to the question's that can sadly never be
answered:
This was a fight that i always eagerly wanted to happen "Mike Tyson Vs Lennox Lewis" (both in their prime times). What
a beautiful fight it would have been. If you were to ask me who i think would win the fight if both fighters were in
their primes, i would instantly say:
Mike Tyson
This is simply because "Iron" Mike was so awesome in his prime. He had destructive power, lightning hand speed, tricky
and effective combos and slick movement for a heavyweight. In my mind i think that Mike Tyson could have stamped down on history
if he hadn't ruined his career. He could have been mentioned on everybody's lips for years to come, because he was so awesome,
but prison life, allegations made against him, divorce, break up's, bans and bankruptcy was just too overpowering over
Mike's career in the end.
Lennox Lewis was a better fighter as he got older in his 30's, that is when he started to get recognised amongst the
boxing world. Mike Tyson however was a much better fighter in his early twenty's, until a shock upset loss over James "Buster"
Douglas helped ruin his career. I think Mike only lost to "Buster" because of all the trouble in his life at the time and
it was always mentioned that Tyson never hardly trained and had no motivation for boxing anymore at that point in time.

- Robin Givens (Ex-Wife)
- Ruth Givens (Robin's Mother)
- Desiree Washington (Ex Miss Black America)
These are the people that helped Mike's career flourish in my mind:
- Cus D'Amato (Trainer)
- Kevin Rooney (Trainer)
- Cus D'Amato's Family
- Bill Cayton
- Jim Jacobs
When "Mike Tyson Vs Lennox Lewis" finally came i knew and many others knew that it could never be the fight that could
have been so beautiful. Mike was past it totally he had no motivation, no determination, no desire and he just had no confidence
and belief any more. After loosing his last fight to Kevin Mcbride, Tyson said "I dont like this no more, ive not wanted to
fight since 1990". Which is exactly why Mike and Lennox could never have had the beautiful fight that i and many others so
longed for.
The verdict if the fight had come at both fighters primes:
Mike Tyson (Prime) Vs Lennox Lewis (Prime)
Winner: Mike Tyson (By KO 5th round)
I always believed and will always carry on believing that a prime time Mike Tyson would have been simply way
to much for a prime time Lennox Lewis. Full Stop!
